About the UAS ISAO
Setting up a UAS program is not just "buying a drone". A quality program requires planning, goals, and mission definition. Fleet management, life cycle maintenance, and operator skills and profeciencies are all crucial elements in building a program that supports your community needs.
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (UAS ISAO) is a 501c6 non-profit organization located in Huntsville, Alabama established under guidelines issued in the President's 2015 Executive Order 13691 directing the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (US DHS) to encourage the development of ISAOs. The objective of UAS ISAO is to foster stakeholder collaboration to enhance safe, effective and efficient UAS operations within the public safety sector.
Our goal is to assist agencies and organizations in developing long term UAS goals, programs, and life-cycle operational procedures, and to help establish and enable standardization of essential competencies within the UAS ecosystem.
